Many people contributed to the success on the 2010 ShopRite LPGA Classic. Thank you to all the players, fans, sponsors, volunteers, and everyone else involved in the 2010 Classic. Tournament Recap The ShopRite LPGA Classic started the week with one of the best fields of the LPGA's 2010 schedule. One of the Tour's hottest players, Paula Creamer, made her return to the LPGA at the ShopRite LPGA Classic, firing 67-65 to maintain second place through the second round before finishing seventh after a final round 71. Another player abuzz was Alexis Thompson, the 15-year-old golf phenom who made her professional debut at the 2010 ShopRite LPGA Classic. And the current Rolex Ranking number one player, Cristie Kerr, demonstrated what makes her the best in the world with a top 25 finish just one week before winning the LPGA Championship presented by Wegmans. But none of these efforts could beat Ai Miyazato who overcame a 2-stroke deficit by shooting a final round 64 to win the 2010 ShopRite LPGA Classic, two strokes over M.J. Hur. Her victory at the 2010 Classic was the first for Miyazato in the United States, and fourth of the season, temporarily vaulting her to number one in the world. Congratulations to Ai and all the players who contributed to an exciting week of golf!
