May 5, 2015

Nineteen of the top twenty players in the Rolex Rankings and 94 out of the top 100 players on the LPGA’s money list have committed to play in the 2015 ShopRite LPGA Classic Presented by Acer, tournament organizers announced today. Crowd favorites such as Paula Creamer, Morgan Pressel and Natalie Gulbis, and past champions like Stacy Lewis and Cristie Kerr, are among the 144 players who will compete at this year’s tournament.

Commitments also include the reigning champions of all five LPGA majors, including Michelle Wie, Brittany Lincicome and Inbee Park. In addition, the field features nine of the ten players who have won thus far in the 2015 LPGA season. It also includes 21 players who have won a combined 52 major championships, as well as eight of the top ten players on the all-time LPGA money list. That group is highlighted by three hall of famers and past champions of the ShopRite LPGA Classic Presented by Acer – Juli Inkster, Se Ri Pak and Karrie Webb.

“On an annual basis we attract one of the best fields on the entire LPGA tour,” said Tim Erensen, executive director of the ShopRite LPGA Classic Presented by Acer. “We’re extremely excited to see early commitments from the greatest golfers in the world and we look forward to hosting them in South Jersey.”

The complete field for the 2015 ShopRite LPGA Classic Presented by Acer will be finalized on the evening of Sunday, May 24. The professionals will compete over three rounds for a $1.5 million purse at Stockton Seaview Hotel and Golf Club in Galloway, New Jersey. The tournament will be televised live on Golf Channel.
