The tournament is also home to the largest Pro-Am in professional golf taking place over two days on four different golf courses.
“We’re honored to work with the local community each year to deliver South Jersey’s largest annual sporting event,” said Tim Erensen, Executive Director of the ShopRite LPGA Classic Presented by Acer. “Our partnership with ShopRite and our more than 400 corporate partners enables us to bring one of the most unique events in all of professional golf to the Jersey Shore.”
ShopRite has served as title sponsor of the tournament since 1992, and has raised more than $30 million for charities through its association with the tournament and the LPGA.
"We are so proud of our long running partnership with the LPGA and commitment to this great golfing event and fundraising effort," said Joseph Colalillo, chairman and CEO of Wakefern Food Corp., the marketing and distribution arm of ShopRite. "The annual tournament features the world's top female golfers while also highlighting organizations that play a key a role in our communities. Local schools, hospitals and organizations that help those in need have benefitted from the more than $30 million raised over the last 24 years. And we look forward to another year of great golf and giving back with the LPGA.”
