Since 1986, the ShopRite LPGA Classic Presented by Acer has attracted millions of fans to South Jersey’s largest annual sporting event. Earlier this year, ShopRite announced a five-year extension of its title sponsorship.
"We are proud to be part of the fabric of the South Jersey community,” said Tim Erensen, Executive Director of the ShopRite LPGA Classic Presented by Acer. “We are also honored to work with ShopRite and our 400 plus corporate partners each year to help deliver our area’s largest sporting event."
ShopRite has served as title sponsor of the tournament since 1992, and has raised $32 million for charities through its association with the tournament and the LPGA.
"We are committed to this great golfing event and proud of ShopRite's long running partnership and friendship with the LPGA," said Joseph Colalillo, chairman and CEO of Wakefern Food Corp., the marketing and distribution arm of ShopRite. "The annual tournament features the world's top female golfers while also spotlighting organizations that play a key role in our communities. Local charities and groups that help those in need shared $1.5 million in grants last year at the ShopRite LPGA Classic, and a total of $32 million has been donated to thousands of important organizations over the last 25 years of the tournament. We look forward to another great year of golf and giving back with the LPGA in 2018."
